Looking to do some short term work in Tanzania ?
MHLT is looking to take a medical work team out to Tanzania in 2007. We are looking for medical professionals who are willing to learn and help for a two week period. Depending on numbers there are two possible projects:-
1) Medical Expedition Project 4x4 - Primarily a 4x4 vehicle expedition visiting hospitals in the Northern part of Tanzania to assess the needs and concerns of medical staff and patients in mission hospitals. Our hope would be to take a limited amount of medical supplies with us for the hospitals. This would be an observation and humanitarian role rather than practical. It would involve a team of between 6-8 members and two vehicles.
2)Primary Care - Visiting a small primary care unit in the Western area of Tanzania - this would involve both observational and practical work.
If you are interested, or have any ideas about medical projects in Tanzania please feel free to contact us...

"When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them."
(John 10:4 NIV)
"This is intensely difficult work for Him and us - it is difficult for us to go, but equally difficult for Him to cause us pain. Yet it must be done. It would not be in our best interest to always remain in one happy and comfortable location. Therefore He moves us forward. The shepherd leaves the fold so the sheep will move on to the vitalizing mountain slopes. In the same way, laborers must be driven out into the harvest, or else the golden grain would spoil."
