The 'Golden Hour'

 

• The term 'Golden Hour' was developed by Dr. R. Cowley after his research on trauma patients

• It refers to the 60 minute time period from serious trauma injury to definitive medical treatment e.g surgery

• It is within this time frame that patients have the greatest chances of survival
